I have been using Avermedia capture cards for over a year now and this card is the newest and best capture device they have to offer when it comes to capturing gameplay. I Post gaming footage every day on my youtube channel and this card, along with the Live Gamer HD, have proven themselves to be real workhorses. With the new Rec Central software you have the option to scale the bitrate so you can choose between small file sizes or extreme quality. On a rare occasion maybe once out of 50 recordings the audio will desync or just not be there and the TS video format does not load audio in Sony Vegas. Often vegas will not recognize the correct frame rate of the video file which is easily corrected by checking "disable resample" but it would be nice if I didn't have to do this. Minus 1 star for those reasons. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful Little Device Packs A BIG Punch, By This review is from: AVerMedia - C875 Live Gamer Portable (LGP) HD Game Capture for PC/PS3/Wii U/Xbox360 up to 1080p, 60Mbps (Electronics) Customer Video Review Length:: 9:13 MinsThe Avermedia Live Gamer Portable (LGP C875) is an awesome capture card so far. It's small, durable and can be used for any gaming purpose. With the lowest latency for an external capture card, it's going to keep competition on it's toes. it has superb HD quality recording/playback up to 60mbps and Encoding latency of only 300ms! The LGP comes with a mini USB 2.0, HDMI, component AV, audio, and PS3 cable. ALSO a 3 month Xsplit Subscription. BONUS. After going to the website to install the driver and program, I was good to go. I'm so used to recording my playback on my Avermedia Game Broadcaster that I was unaware you had to hook this up to a TV for playback without delay. I never owned an external capture card so it's a different feel. I like this feeling. I feel PC free. The LGP also has the option to record PC-Free. I know you're asking, "How can you do that?" Well they have an SD slot (Class 10 min.) that you can capture... I stream off of a laptop instead of a desktop since I prefer to be portable and not just stream at home. The AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable not only brings the bulkiness of my setup down even more, but seems to have less delay to the PC than the other portable capture devices I have seen/used (Hauppauge, BlackMagic, Elgato, etc) which makes live streaming with commentary easier to deal with. And lastly, AVM is the only company making a capture device that ALSO supports the fighting game community. This product for cost/functionality/portability is a no-brainer for anyone looking to purchase an external capture device, |
