It gives a very close shave. So I decided to get a new one, and bought this ER415SC. I was horrified to find out that they changed the design for the worse, since it no longer gives a close shave! They must have changed the clearance of the blades. What a waste of money. I went back to the older ER411. Let Panasonic know that they should go back to the older design which worked. The Panasonic 415 left the nose and ears hair (and cut) free! I know not everybody will agree on products, but I wanted to provide some feedback on my experience with this product. It does a good job and it is a great price! I am here now to purchase another one for my dad as a stocking stuffer! This was a product that I have been leary about buying for some time just because of the sensitive tissues in the nose but I'm glad I ordered it. I've read some good and bad reviews on a few different sites and here as well and while I realize it's not the product for everyone, it definitely was for me. It cuts the hairs I need it to in one or rarely two swipes and doesn't pull at all, which was another concern that I had. For those who have an electric razor, this doesn't feel any different than one of those. It glides over the hair so smoothly if it wasn't for the sound of the motor you wouldn't notice it was there. All in all, I think this is a great product that's not only convient but works fantastic!
